The next time you see a map of California, look on the west, or left-hand side, where the Pacific Ocean is. Now, run your eye down the map until you find where the coast line turns a square corner to the east.
A very long time ago, the Spanish explorers named that corner “Point Concepcion,” (Con-sep-see-own’).
It is a very special, wonderful corner. Because of that bend in the coast, its climate is superior to that of most places in California. This wonderful corner is known as the Santa Barbara region.
The Santa Barbara View (www.sbview.com) is a a website that covers this Santa Barbara region.
