“I could never be one of those realtors who only works the phone and the internet,” adds Fairbanks, who admits he greatly prefers building to blogging. “I like getting to know a home from front to back, making it the best it can be, then seeing the smiles on the faces of both buyer and seller.”

Being fair is something Fairbanks knows well. An experienced umpire, he is known as a standout “Blue” in the world of youth, high school and college baseball for his work behind the plate.
