Keeping Santa Barbara Santa Barbara

Last week, Santa Barbara View called out the Clean Air Express for using Chapala-area streets as a commuter bus parking lot. Since that report, Santa Barbara View received complaints about new sight-seeing school bus, pictured below, which has been using the streets around the Mission rose garden as their permanent parking facility.

I think they need to change their marketing strategy, because I assumed that was another homeless camper when it appeared months ago. From some of the photos on the website, I’m not entirely sure what kind of “services” they are actually selling in addition to tours

I’ve seen that one and always thought it was a homeless buss too. It looks run down.

This bus offers a great service, giving roundtrip rides up to Cold Springs & Santa Ynez on Sunday afternoons. It’s a great way to get up there especially for groups. They also are great for birthdays and events, and they write on the side of the bus for whatever the event or birthday is.

I took this bus up to Cold Springs with my girlfriend and a group of people for her birthday a couple of weeks ago and it was a good time. They meet there at the mission on sundays, and are not permanently parked there.

The owners are great people who offer this service. Please don’t knock it til you’ve tried it.

As for their marketing strategy, the website is clearly visible and the website clearly states what they are doing and what services they offer in a very easy to understand way. I don’t understand the confusion.

You also don’t understand how to write a convincing post pretending to be a customer of your own business.

The Upper East used to be historically a single-family residential neighborhood and the pride of the city. Recent shifts in city thinking is now turning it into a commercial and RV parking lot at the Mission and Rose Garden. Trinity Episcopal Church is now a vagrant overnight tent campsite along with a daytime stolen shopping cart parking spot. All part of this current council’s attempt to make Santa Barbara affordable for anyone who wants to come here. And kill what used to make Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara.

What about the MTD Buses that clog up Chapala between Carrillo and Figueroa? They’re littering the streets, and that’s without help from all the cabbies around…

Really? You are complaining about the Cities central bus and transportation hub? I live in the neighborhood, and love the fact that i dont have to call a cab…i always know where one is. This black bus is providing a much need service for those that want to not drive drunk/ and learn about wine. ( you are right above, the bus looks fun.. but very amatuerish. They could have used a computer to design their logo instead of let their 7 year old daughter make the writting on the back…..to me it looks like a County Jail bus, hauling the chain gang around)
