The General Plan Update appendix, section H12.2, under City Assistance reads: Expand and improve the existing Homebuyer’s Assistance Programs.”

Another reason the General Plan Update and the nasty issues against the long term good will of the City and Taxpayers in Santa Barbara has to be stopped! For those of you in other communities read closely and look to the planning and long term details in you city planning.
Many have questioned the hard position taken against the General Plan Update, and the control of City Hall for 40 years. This is one classic example of why there needs to be a house cleaning.
After the ongoing exposures of insider deals, really stupid street plans to support deadly high density infill, and more growth in government (read that as your tax dollars) the General Plan Update once again has been exposed as being a seriously flawed and intentionally BIG GOVERNMENT document.
If it were not for the fiscally conservative 4, on the current council, most of this would never have seen the light of day. Councilman White is feeling the heat and trying to deflect the backlash directed at his political position. This is a direct result of 40 years of unbridled socialist planning causing an explosion of Government Owned Housing, Government Subsidized Housing, Government Owned Transportation, Government Subsidize Transportation, out of control Wage and Benefit packages, and the list goes on expanding at Light Speed.
The Santa Barbara News-Press Voices section, published an article titled, When is Enough, Enough! With this new revelation when is it enough?
There is Street planning based on made up concepts causing increased accidents and congestion.
Failed Bike routes planning, ignoring crushing statistics, and only supported by concept of How It Is Supposed To Work.
Rent Control forced on the taxpayers through the Housing Authority after being defeated repeatedly in the City of SB .
The revelation City Planners buried in an Appendix (section H12.2 -City Assistance) an expansion of Taxpayer Paid slush fund mortgages is another nail in the coffin of this plan.
The General Plan not just flawed, but intentionally prejudiced fertilizer for BIG GOVERNMENT, COSTS, AND SLUSH FUNDS FOR CITY EMPLOYEES.
It is past time to put the General Plan Update out of its misery and move forward with current plans. There is NO law stating after review the City of Santa Barbara cannot continue to run under existing planning. No plan A, no plan B, just kill it.
Remember, people supported in the next election by (Plan Santa Barbara supporters) are going to be the very political types willing to spend, spend, spend.
