Since skateboards legally cannot be riden on the street anywhere in the City (SBMC 10.06.010), they should be allowed on most sidewalks (except ones prohibited by 10.06.010; downtown and along Cabrillo) Bikes on the otherhand as descibed in SBMC 10.52.130 shall not be riden on any sidewalk! ( Interestingly, according to 10.52.010 no person can operate a bicycle anywhere in public (street, alley or road) in the City of Santa Barbara withouit registering the bike with the Police Dept! It may be draconian, but if you are pissed about bikes out of control, push the police to start enforcing 10.52.010!
I am glad to all of the people are NOT using plastic grocery bags.. These photos should show that not only people of all cultures and ages are choosing transportation that does not rely on OIL, they are also using effective tools of recycling and reusable bags.

The guy riding down the side street on a bike is classic. Perhaps we do need green bike lanes

I’m outraged.

How can that be…they haven’t been banned yet?
