Vintage Views of Santa Barbara, California

Cold Spring Tavern’s hodgepodge of structures—which include the Ojai Jail and a tiny bunkhouse where the toll road’s builders used to sleep—was owned by the Doulton family at the turn of the 20th century, the restaurant and its springs were purchased by Adelaide Ovington and her daughter Audrey in 1941 for $2,000.     Totally cool photo. Black Bus taking passengers up to Cold Springs on Sundays – cool idea. Parking the huge, ugly Black Bus in the Rose Garden residential area by the Mission all during the rest of the week – totally uncool.
